
Lions Coach Scuderi Inducted Into BC Varsity Club Hall of Fame
Congratulations to Nassau County Lions 13U AA Coach Rob Scuderi on his induction into the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame.
Scuderi skated for the Boston College Men's Ice Hockey squad for a record 169 games during his four years at the school. The defenseman amassed 70 points with seven goals and 63 assists during his tenure with the Eagles. A Hockey East All-Rookie Team honoree in 1998, Scuderi capped his career as a member of the Boston College Eagles 2001 National Championship Team.
Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins following his freshman season, Scuderi played 12 years in the National Hockey League (NHL), capturing the Stanley Cup on two occasions (with the Penguins in 2009 and again with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012. Over his NHL career, Scuderi totaled 110 career points in 783 NHL regular season games and played in 122 Stanley Cup Playoff Games, posting 14 points, including an assist on the game-winning goal in game seven of the 2009 Stanley Cup Final.
Scuderi joins more than 400 former athletes who have been inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame.
